Meet The Dan K Show Staff

At just 30 years of age, Dan K has worked for 3 of the 4 major league-owned networks in the television industry while creating and launching The Dan K Show, the most-watched show in Junior Hockey.

Prior to launching The Dan K Show, Dan K worked for the Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey team in Voorhees, NJ as the Director of Broadcasting.  While with the Flyers, he helped to generate entertaining and never-before seen content, driving fan interaction and helping to increase the team’s social media following by 500%. His success with the Flyers organization, led the USPHL to bring him in to launch The Dan K Show and provide Play-by-Play broadcasting on the league’s jewel events and Games of the Week.

Before entering the broadcasting world, Dan himself was an athlete playing four years of college baseball.  As a collegiate pitcher, Dan posted a career record of 18-6 with three saves, while serving as a captain in two of his four years.  Following his playing career, Dan earned a Master’s degree in Management of Sports Industries from the University of New Haven while serving as Pitching Coach for Albertus Magnus College’s NCAA DIII baseball team in New Haven, CT

Lucas Jones joined the Dan K Show at its inception, bringing a wealth of audio/video and technical knowledge to the show. Officially named the “Vice President of Learning Ridiculous New Things,” Lucas is always looking for new technologies and improvements to make the Dan K Show experience more immersive and exciting. As a result, Lucas is often called upon as a technical advisor to teams and organizations around the country.

On the morning of game days, Lucas can often be found in a tangle of wires and cables, scaling benches and ladders to ensure that the Dan K Show experience is properly set up and delivered to the fans at home. On the broadcast, Lucas brings the analysis and play breakdowns, as well as heading to ice level in between periods to get reactions from players and coaches.

Before joining the show, Lucas taught high school history and economics classes, and continues to tutor students in various subjects while being a full-time member of the Dan K Show. Lucas attended Rutgers University and earned a Bachelors Degree as a History and Political Science double major.

Alex Jones, who bears a suspiciously striking resemblance to Lucas, signed on to the Dan K Show in 2017 as a rink-side reporter and playoff analyst. in 2018 Alex was placed on the Dan K Show’s Injured List with an upper body injury, and was forced to sit out the season. Back at full strength, Alex AKA “Jonesy” can be found between the benches during games all season long, bringing you all the details and reactions from down on the team benches. He is specifically forbidden from asking what players had for lunch.

Alex brings his hockey knowledge to the show, as well as a natural talent for interacting with players and coaches. Alex graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Communications.
